Concept designs for a fable about a prideful king who outlaws Christmas, banning all color and merriment throughout his realm.

These visual studies focus on the contrast between authority and the underground spirit of the kingdom. I used rigid, oppressing shapes for the court and warm, glowing interiors to show where warmth and hope endure.
