Ikarai

Album case design

The band Ikarai took the story of the mythical Icarus figure as the primary inspiration for their album FLY, and the tracks even follow Icarus' journey. Therefore, they wanted all the artwork for the album case to reflect the ancient Greek myth. The cover depicts the ecstasy of Icarus soaring, while the inside of the case shows his journey: from longing, to the flight, ending in his fall.
