Hedda Gabler

Poster design & key art

Poster design for Henrik Ibsen’s 19th-century psychological drama. The artwork captures Hedda as a woman trapped within a stifling marriage and societal expectations. Surreal color choices heighten the sense of unease, and makes her almost a completely different creature from the giant shapes of the men around her. Though her body language projects control, the overall composition leaves her looking small and almost frail.
