Gedwongen

Graphic novel on forced labour in WW2

Co Knuppelder is 99 years old and still loves to party. He never leaves his house without his necktie. When he was only just eighteen years old he was sent to Nazi Germany by his boss as a forced labourer. He had no clue what would await him there. He packed his suitcase, threw his neat suit in and left.

His story, as told in ‘Gedwongen’ (’Forced’), was given shape through my illustrations, and enriched with music, sound and snippets of Co narrating his own experiences leaving home and working in Nazi Germany.

Made in collaboration with Aldus’ producties.
